Christmas GIVE Projects
Each year Lifehouse chooses special projects that we can give towards as an outward expression of the love of Christ and for Christmas 2011 we have elected two very special projects. Project A: Gift of Life and Project B: Gift of Love.
This Christmas, you Give the Gift of Life. One bed net costs only $6. Inaction costs lives.
More than half of the world’s population lives in fear of a predator that stalks in the night. A predator that kills nearly 2,000 African children EVERY DAY! One child every 45 seconds lost to a completely preventable disease! The malaria-carrying mosquito is human history’s biggest killer, but this disease can be easily prevented by a mosquito bed net treated with insecticide. Although malaria was eradicated in the United States 60 years ago, it is still the fourth leading cause of death in children around the world. Malaria also seriously affects Africa’s economy, costing $12 billion every year in lost economic productivity. Please, join with Open Bible Churches across the country whose goal is to wipe out malaria in Africa by the year 2015! Every gift of $6 provides one bed net to a needy African family which will protect two children for a period of four years. Our heart is to reach those across the globe, but all too often we overlook the needs of those right on our doorstep. This Christmas, Give the Gift of Love by donating money that will be used to purchase groceries and meet other cost of living expenses of our widows, modern day orphans and single moms. The economy has been down, but the needs run high. You can make all the difference this Christmas for these single income or retirement income families and individuals.
To GIVE to one or both of these projects, simply mark your giving envelope with Project A or Project B to designate your offering. You may also mail in your gift to the church.
