How does a GROWING church maintain the feel of small, close-knit family?

It all starts here.

At Lifehouse, we don’t think of ourselves as a church with small groups, but a church of small groups. They help ensure that like any family, we stay healthy and connected as we grow. These environments have been created to help you connect with people who are walking through the same season of life and who live in your area. Whether you are a follower of Jesus or just testing the waters, a long-time member or have yet to visit, young or old, single, married, or single again, there is a place you can connect and grow.

We believe growing in our faith and relationship with Christ is the most important thing in life and that growing is better together.  While we love to come together on the weekend in larger gatherings, we also recognize greater growth happens when we gather in circles, not rows.

To facilitate this, throughout the year we meet in small groups we like to call LifeGroups.  LifeGroups are usually groups of twenty people or less gathering in homes and other locations for the purpose of helping, supporting, and encouraging one another in this process of spiritual growth.

It's in the context of LifeGroups that we believe our faith and understanding of scriptures can be best shaped and where authentic relationships are found.  LifeGroups are the platform from which we ‘do life’ together and are essential to our call to both become and make disciples.

At Lifehouse, there are 3 types of LifeGroups you can connect with:

Community LifeGroups are small groups of adults that meet weekly for friendship, support, and spiritual growth. Members of all ages, stages of life, and spiritual maturity are welcome. At Lifehouse, we believe everyone should be connected to a Community LifeGroup.

Deeper Lifegroups are short-term LifeGroups where you can learn what scripture says about money, parenting, leadership, being a better man, or just about anything else under the sun. They are similar to Community LifeGroups, but meet weekly for a short period of time to explore a single topic or common area of interest. Deeper LifeGroups are just that, all about digging ‘deeper’ into your faith.

We all have defining moments in our lives—challenging circumstances, relational pain, transitional seasons. How we respond during these times has a direct impact on our futures. Recovery LifeGroups are focused on connecting you to people and resources that are committed to helping you move forward. Group size, meeting times, and locations may vary and are offered periodically as is needed.

How to get connected:

There are several ways to get connected to a LifeGroup at Lifehouse: By joining a Starting Point LifeGroup, attending a GroupLink event, enrolling in a Deeper LifeGroup at the beginning of a new semester, locating and contacting a LifeGroup directly, or contacting the church office - we'd be more than happy to help you get started on your journey to community and growth. Read about each option for getting connected below:

If you are brand new to church, returning to church, or just new to Lifehouse, the best way to get started is by finding a Starting Point LifeGroup as an introduction to group and community life.

What is Starting Point?

Starting Point is a conversational small group environment where people can explore faith and experience community.

Another great way to get connected to a Community LifeGroup is to attend our next GroupLink event designed specifically to help you find a group of people meeting closest to you that fit your stage of life. GroupLinks are held three times a year and provide a fun and relaxing setting in which to connect with others who are new to LifeGroups.

During the year, Deeper LifeGroups operate in three semesters; Winter, Spring, and Fall with breaks in between that closely correlate to our local school and holiday calendars. Each semester a new Deeper LifeGroup catalog is made available to help you find a group.

Semesters are 10-14 weeks depending on the curriculum and topics of study.  Each semester offers a wide variety of options, creating new experiences and opportunities for all ages.
